Learn-Norwegian.info is built for English speakers who want to learn Norwegian. We review courses, compare learning tools, and share practical tips to help you make real progress. This site exists because finding honest, detailed information about Norwegian courses in English is harder than it should be.
“We have all been through the process of learning a Scandinavian language from scratch. That experience is what drives the content on this site.”
Who We Are
We are the Language Learning Team, a small editorial team with a genuine interest in languages. Several of us have personal experience learning Norwegian and other Nordic languages. We know how it feels to struggle with tonelag, mix up “en” and “et”, or wonder which course is actually worth the money.
We are not a language school and none of us are certified teachers. We are learners who have tested dozens of courses and apps over the years. That hands-on experience is what we bring to our reviews. We write for people like us: motivated learners who want practical information, not sales pitches.
What We Do
We focus exclusively on Norwegian language learning. For every course and app we cover, we look at how the content is structured, what teaching method is used, how much it costs, and what the actual learning experience feels like. We explain who each course works best for, from complete beginners to people preparing for the Bergenstest or everyday life in Norway.
Besides course reviews, we also publish articles on Norwegian grammar, pronunciation tips, and cultural context. Language learning works better when you understand the culture behind the words.
Why Norwegian?
Norwegian is one of the most accessible Scandinavian languages for English speakers. There is real vocabulary overlap, the grammar is manageable, and Norway keeps attracting more expats, students, and visitors every year. But despite the growing demand, good Norwegian course reviews in English are rare. Most sites cover 50 languages and can only give you a surface-level overview.
We built Learn-Norwegian.info to go deeper. One language, one audience, detailed reviews.
How We Review Courses
We are independent. No single course provider sponsors this site, and no commercial deal influences what we write. If we say a course works well, that is our honest opinion. If we flag problems, it is because we think you deserve to know.
Our Network
The Language Learning Team also publishes content on these sites:
- Languagecorner.eu — course reviews for over 80 languages in English, Norwegian, and Swedish.
- Spraklabb.info — for Swedish speakers looking for language courses. All content in Swedish.
- Lär-Dig-Tyska.info — for Swedish speakers learning German. Reviews and tips in Swedish.
Same team, same standards, different audiences.
How We Work
We research what is on the market, sign up for courses, work through lessons, and write up what we find. When something changes, a new course launches or prices are updated, we revise our articles. Keeping content accurate matters more to us than publishing something new every week.
We also pay attention to what our readers tell us. If you have experience with a Norwegian course, good or bad, we want to hear about it. Reader feedback makes our reviews better.
“Learning Norwegian opens doors you did not know existed. Our job is to help you find the right key.”
